LGBT NEW YORK STATE DESTINATIONS
The LGBT community and New York State go way back. This is where the Stonewall rebellion gave birth to the modern LGBT civil rights movement, just as it was the birthplace of the women’s rights movement and a hub of the abolitionist movement. It’s where Harvey Milk went to college, and home to the nation’s oldest continually operating LGBT community center. We continued to make history when we became the largest state in the nation with legal marriage for all loving couples. But LGBT people continue to make New York their most desired travel destination in the world not only because of the mark we have made on history and culture. Come and explore why, for LGBT travelers, there is so much to love in New York State.

There’s a hint of chill in the air, signaling it’s time to harvest the crops and pull out the sweaters and scarves (and perhaps go shopping). New York is a beach town? YES! It is!
Legendary beaches in Long Island turn into a summertime playground and the place to go people-watch. Two beaches that have made Dr. Beach's list of the Top 10 in America: Coopers Beach in Southampton and Main Beach at East Hampton.
To really get away, travel further along the South Fork to peaceful Montauk, Long Island's easternmost beach village. Ditch Plains, Long Island's most well known surfing beach is also nearby. It has the reputation for having some of the best and most consistent waves on the East Coast. Then of course there is Jones Beach with over seven miles of beaches with Robert Moses State Park offering five miles of sandy beaches to roam.
JUST BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR FRIENDS.
